• To inhibit future corrosion.
• To enhance adhesion of the coating by providing a key (chemically, physically or both)

• Zinc Phosphate (1000+ salt spray hours)
• Zirconium Pre-treatment. Salt spray hours:
• 500+ for mild steel
• 2000+ for Aluminium
• Shotblasting to SA 2.5
• Shotblast and hot zinc flame spray
